Change your mind whenever you like.
This page is the plain-language version of how paying for Lapriland Pro and for credit packs works, and what happens when you stop. It is short because the policy is short.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from Settings → Plan and credits → Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, whether that is the rest of the month or the rest of the year, and then your account simply becomes a free account. Nothing you wrote is deleted, hidden or locked; you can still read, edit and export everything.
Refunds
- Annual plans: a full refund, no questions asked, within 14 days of the payment. After 14 days the year runs its course; you can still cancel so it does not renew.
- Monthly plans: no partial-month refunds. Cancel, and the current month runs out. If something went wrong on our side (you were charged twice, or Pro did not switch on), write to us and we will put it right.
- Mistaken renewals: if a renewal went through that you meant to cancel, write to us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it.
Credit packs
A credit pack is a one-time payment that adds credits to your account. It is not a subscription: nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel. Credits from a pack are good for twelve months from the day you buy them, and your free monthly credits are always spent before them, so a pack is never the thing that quietly expires first.
- Unused packs: a full refund within 14 days of payment, as long as you have not spent any of that pack.
- Part-used packs: no refund. Once a credit has been spent, the work it paid for has already been done and we have already paid for it.
- Something went wrong: if a pack was charged twice, or the credits never arrived, write to us and we will put it right whatever the calendar says.
Credits belong to your account and can’t be transferred to another one. If a payment is reversed after some of a pack has been used, the credits that are left are removed and the part already spent is charged back to your balance, which can leave it below zero. Nothing you have written is touched, and writing, photographs, search and export carry on as normal; only AI actions wait until the balance is positive again.
Who actually takes the payment
Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, for subscriptions and for credit packs alike. Paddle is the seller on your receipt, collects the card details (we never see them), and works out any VAT or sales tax for your country. Refunds are issued through Paddle back to the card you paid with, usually within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
